We have used O’mara for 25 years. Starting with Bob O’mara and then to Steve when it was sold to him. I will never use them again. Below is the signed statement that I sent to their office and emailed directly to Matt the owner.
On 8/29/24 I received a letter from you regarding invoices from almost one year ago. This is a follow up letter after the voicemail I left on the evening of 8/29. Line item 1 for $380.58 was for unapproved work on an AC unit. The year prior your company had made a repair to the unit. Now at that time. August of last year I had the same issue. I then called you back to look at it again. I drove an hour there from my home to meet the tech who I believe may in fact be the same one who looked at it the year prior. When I arrived my tenant at the time said you had already been there and did not know the cause of the issue. I waited for a call or an update. I received no follow up whatsoever. A week or two later I received a bill. None of which I signed off on. Line item two for a total of 1266.48. This estimate is believed to be for a sump pump install on a renovation I had at the time. The gentleman who did the estimate said it would take 2 guys and be a half day job. Considering what had to be done and being familiar with the installs that would be fine. However after completion 2 days after I inspected the work. The installation had been done completely wrong. The sump basin which was already on site had not been used. Instead they had put a catch basin in which is completely and utterly incorrect. There was no way to finish the floor and complete the cement work. It was just stuck in the ground. Furthermore the exhaust pipe had led directly next to the foundation. All the water that it had drained out immediately was dumped next to the fondation and ran back into the basement through the cracks of the foundation leading to more repairs that had to be done. All of this had to be ripped back out and removed with a proper basin, proper filters and gravel for the basin itself and proper height adjustment for the cement that had to be poured along with a proper discharge which diverted water away from the structure to avoid additional damage. That afternoon I called the man who had done the estimate. I was sent to voicemail. I left a message and asked for a return phone call. A call never came. I then contacted the office and asked to speak with Matt or the man who did the estimate. I told the lady what the call was about and asked for a return phone call. One never came. 2 weeks later I get a bill for improper work and unapproved work all in one envelope. I do not pay for such things and should not have to pay someone else to go and redo the work that was done incorrectly. Our family has used O’mara for 25 years dating back to Bob O’mara and then with Steve when it was sold to him. We have always remained loyal customers throughout that time. The fact that after all that time I can't even get a phone call back to discuss these things is horrendous. On top of that to then demand payment is just ludacris. I have moved all my business to Wilson. They have been prompt, respectful, and have done quality work. I will also encourage anyone else to use them as well. Their last job they did for me was a 12k furnace job that I had planned to push to you. As stated above I will no longer use your company and will encourage my colleagues to do the same.

Anytime I have a a plumbing issue, I call my home warranty company and specifically request Omara's. They have been out to my place a few times, and I'm always happy with the service. They're on time, professional, and willing to be flexible with my schedule.

We had them replace our water heater and fix the vent. The workers were all kind, kept us informed of what was needed, extremely punctual with their arrival time, and went above and beyond in the installation. 10/10 all around and now our go to place for service!

We got a quote from another company that said we needed a new furnace $$$. O'maras came out 1/2 after I called them. A few screws and a motor cleaning is all it needed. Thank you so much Jeff!!!
