We have two boys at Kindercare and have had an amazing experience at both campuses! Our babies are safe, loved, and engaged constantly. What more could you ask for.

I started at the Kindecare on West River Dr with my daughter a few months ago. As any new mom can attest I was so nervous and sad to leave my child in the care of others but the ladies at KinderCare made me feel so much better and really worked with me on what was a hard transition personally. My now 5 month old daughter loves her teachers and has nothing but smiles when we go to drop her off in the morning. It’s such a relief to feel like I can leave her with people who make her smile and ensure her needs are met quickly. Kudos to the infant room team!

We could not be happier with the care our children receive at KinderCare. Our 5 and 7 year old children have been attending full-time for 3 years and still look forward to going each day. During the school year, before and aftercare is a breeze, as they provide breakfast and after school snacks, offer bussing to a few local schools, and Rockford has a bus stop here as well. During the past several months, the center was designated as an Essential Center, remaining open for families needing care during the state shutdown. The teachers generously offered to help our kids with their classwork, assignments, and even set them up several times a week for all of their classroom virtual meetings. This team truly goes above and beyond for our kids, and love them as if they were their own.
There has been very little turnover in teachers which speaks to the great leadership of Liz and Nicole, the upper campus director and assistant director. They are easily accessible and we receive great communication from both of them, and we get a few updates each day via the app from the teachers of pictures and fun activities. Their summer program is incredible - they have special themes, activities, and field trips planned for the kids each week while still adhering to covid precautions.
As a nurse and essential worker myself, I truly appreciate their adherence to health and safety precautions. The center is very clean and they have additional precautions in place to monitor their staff and the children they care for. Daily temperature checks, health symptom screening and frequent disinfection of high-touch surfaces are an expectation.
We sent our daughter to a different local child care center as an infant and were nervous to send her back after her brother was born. Our concerns were truly unfounded and the difference between the two facilities has been night and day. Our kids are better prepared for school, more equipped to deal with social and emotional challenges, and generally happier kids because of the experiences we have had at West River KinderCare. I can not recommend them highly enough!

We started at this location when service was consolidated during COVID for essential workers and are SO GRATEFUL. We loved the staff so much we decided to stay once all centers opened. They have consistently provided dedicated care and valuable learning for our child. They're transparency during the pandemic and dedication to CDC guidelines has kept our family healthy and safe during this time. We would recommend kindercare, but specifically the West River location, to anyone.

My daughter started in the infant 1 room about a month ago, and I am very happy with the care she is receiving! Miss Desiree and Miss Darcie have made the transition so much easier for our family. I was very anxious about starting, and Miss Desiree and Miss Darcie have gone above and beyond to get to know our baby and her needs. They do such a great job of keeping us parents updated throughout the day (via the app) on how and what she is doing. When I pick my baby up, she is happy and well cared for. Thank you to the other staff members that have also been in our babies room and care for her. I also am thankful to Nicole who has been available at at point to answer my numerous questions and put me at ease prior to starting. Thank you all!
